Chocolate Hommus

My kids eat hommus by the tub. But today I decided to change things up and instead of making our usual chickpea hommus we made chocolate hommus! It kept all 3 kids quiet for a whole 20minutes. Winning.

This remixed recipe is so nutritious, just like the original. Full of fibre and protein and will keep you fuller for longer.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED-

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 1/2 can coconut milk

  • 1/3 cup peanut butter (can use tahini to keep it nut free)

  • 1/4 cup cacao powder

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey

  • 3-4 soaked dates or 2 medjool dates

METHOD-

Pop all ingredients into a high speed blender and combine until smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down sides as you go. Enjoy with cut up fruit.

NOTES-

Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to a week. Or freeze for up to 3-4months.
